Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy
Sports Massage & Remedial Therapy delivered through a 'female lens'.
Women are athletes too and the 'sport of life and motherhood' for the modern woman truly means that she's an endurance athlete most days
Sports Massage isn't just for elite athletes yet it is often misunderstood as a treatment modality because “I don’t do sport”, and “aren’t they really painful”.
Quite simply, sports massage can be beneficial to anyone regardless of athletic ability or exercise participation.
So whether you are training for a race, visit the gym regularly, enjoy gardening, or have a desk-based office job, a regular sports massage can help to keep your body feeling great, and keep injuries at bay.
I have been trained by the best in the industry and have a wealth of experience added to my treatments which positions me as an expert practitioner.
Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy
What Can I Expect?
TALK
The first three things I will do is listen to your story, build your trust and gain your permission .
Each body has their own story which can be deeply personal and hold a lot of emotion ........
No concern is too small,
I am here to listen to your story and together we will discover why your body is feeling like it is.
TRUST
The work we will do together is gentle with a slow approach at a pace bespoke to you .
Contrary to belief sports massage should not be painful.
Very often I may not be working directly on the painful area as my mission is to get to the root of the problem and not just stick a plaster over it. Everything is connected and sometimes where we feel pain isn't the origin of the problem.
TOUCH
Each treatment is bespoke to you, I have multiple techniques to help you that I will discuss with you and gain your permission to touch, treat and massage you ........
I will also coach and guide you in how to look after aches, pains or injury in between appointments, giving you the skills to keep for life.....
